Let me just start with: I am completely obsessed with this wedding. Valentine's Day, the perfect Northern PA winter light, just enough snow on the ground, and can we just take a second to talk about Sam in her mother freaking mink coat?! Sam started off the day with mimosas, hair, and make-up at the perfect RD Blow Dry Bar in Scranton. Their reception was held at Genetti Ballrooms in Hazelton, which had some pretty awesome spots to explore around in for photos. One of my favourite parts of a wedding day is the bride + groom photos after their ceremony. At this point, every couple gets the sweetest most simple bliss that surrounds them... they're finally married. The cake is standing tall, their flowers arrived intact, they've finally said "I Do," and all of the stress that surrounds a wedding day has completely faded away. I just love the energy that exists in those precious few minutes I get to spend with my couples. Add on the romance of a Valentine's wedding... swoon. (;
In case you haven't noticed, I'm the world's worst blogger. Looking back on my last 2015 wedding has me SO excited for all of the awesome couples I have lined up for 2016!
Chris + Bri got married on a freezing bright November Saturday. They had a gorgeous ceremony at the Trinity Lutheran Church, downtown Pottsville, and then they rounded up their closest friends and family for a beautiful intimate post ceremony dinner at Kemfort's Cottage. Chris + Bri braved the freezing cold with me for a couple quick photos- this is what we got... (insert heart eyes here).
I didn’t officially meet Mike and Julia until their wedding day… I know it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, but I walked into that hotel room feeling like I was walking in on a first blind date. Immediately, you could feel the excited energy radiating off of Julia and her three best friends and buzzing around the hotel room. Julia has the most contagious smile; she grabbed me in a hug, offered me a mimosa, and right away I knew it was going to be an awesome day. Julia and Mike chose the most perfect fall day for their wedding. Seriously, there is nothing better than an autumn wedding in Pennsylvania! The crisp fresh air, the electric colours; it’s like the Christmas of wedding seasons.
Mike and Julia met ski patrolling in Utah; they spend the other half of their year guiding climbs and white water rafting in Washington. Besides being insanely jealous, when we hung up after our first Skype meeting, I knew I had found kindred spirits in these two. They are both so full of life, laughter, and love… the photos say it all.

Ohhh this wedding. The ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Coleman Chapel, and Brasenhill Mansion (with their effortlessly cool European vibe) opened up their stunning space to us for photos. They braved the cold and the rain with promises of the party of the year, and they did NOT disappoint! Jessica + Eric were both just so much fun. I absolutely love when you can see in someone's eyes how excited they are to just BE married, and boy did these two have that!
"I love her and that's the beginning and end of everything." - F. Scott Fitzgerald
Ohh Megan and Sean. These two were just SO much fun. You know that look that only soul mates can give each other? Like they hung the stars in the sky? That's how these two look at one another. I am overjoyed to have been there to capture their perfect wedding day, and I am even happier to call them friends.
"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same." - Emily Bronte
You may remember Atarah + Richard from their super awesome engagement shoot (here)... shortly after, they got married on a beautiful August day. And their church had the prettiest field behind it. That we managed to hit at exactly the most perfect golden moment. And my heart was so friggin' happy.
Back in August, I had the most awesome opportunity to adventure down to Nags Head, North Carolina to hang out with Erin and Jamie for their wedding weekend. They spent the week surrounded by family and friends, tied the knot with their toes in the sand, and partied the night away.
This was literally the best way I could have ever imagined kicking off wedding season this year. Jonathan & Paige said "I do" on the perfect May day, surrounded by family and friends and a whole lotta love. They met while attending Shippensburg University, started dating, and the rest is history. I have never seen two people so stinkin' excited to get to the end of the aisle! I can't say enough good things about this wedding; it was just so beautiful! This group sure knew how to party, and Strock's Catering Barn served as the absolute perfect reception venue.
Jonathan & Paige, here's to you.
Tonight I realized something. I was editing photos, and I found one that just made my heart sing (cliche, I know). And it hit me, right in the bottom of my stomach, as I realized This photo is going to be hanging on their wall for the rest of their lives. Every time they pass by it, they're going to think back to this day and smile. Some night they will get into a fight, and look back at that photo, and their argument will seem just a little trivial. Their children will grow up asking about that photo and asking about how their parents met. Their grandchildren will stand in awe of their love story. In awe of the fact that no matter how much time and the people in the photo change, there is this unexplainable bond that connects them, connects all of us, together. That is what makes my entire world go 'round. It's what drags my butt out of bed in the morning. It's what gets my heart pumping.
Tonight I'm feeling like the luckiest girl on the whole entire planet.
