Anyone else craving autumn so bad it hurts inside?! This sweet late winter/ early spring engagement shoot has me dreaming of cooler weather and that perfect winter light. I met Sean + Karen at their wedding venue (Blue Hound Farm!), where they will be getting married this September. We romped around and explored the farm's beautiful grounds- there was love, giggling, and dancing... yes!!
I met Andre and Deitra in beautiful Hershey this winter for their engagement photos. They're getting married this summer, and I can't wait to be there to witness the beginning of their next chapter together.
In case you were wondering the quickest way into my heart... it's to start your engagement session with a beer. I met Brad + Autumn at the Millworks (which is one of my favourite local restaurants) for a drink, and then we ventured out into the city on a gorgeous winter evening with the most perfect river-side golden hour that I have ever seen. Here's a little look into how it went down...
I'm gonna throw it out there: I love engagement sessions. Everyone should have them. Everyone. I'm obviously a huge supporter of getting professional photos done any chance you get, but there's just something special about having this time in your life documented. (& it provides a great chance for us to hang out before your wedding day!)
Sometimes, you meet a couple and you just hit it off right off the bat. Meet Atarah + Richard. We met for coffee one afternoon and closed the cafe down. These two are the most genuine, caring, real, in love people. A couple of weeks later we headed out over the Maryland line to explore in these super cool Washington-esque woods. Their wedding pictures are coming shortly, but these deserve their own highlight.
I loved everything about this shoot. Everything.
Atarah + Richard. Let your light shine. You two rock.
My favorite love stories are the ones that you don't expect. The ones that sneak up on you. When there is a boy and a girl who start off as friends, and then one day they turn around... and there it is. That laid back, comfortable love where you can just tell two people are so much more than soul mates- they're best friends. Meet Candice & Jon. They were friends all through high school; graduation came and Candice marched off to Tennessee for college and Jon adventured out to Colorado. Until one day, fate brought them back together in Pennsylvania. And the rest is history.
The three of us met up at the gorgeous Wind In The Willows farm on a perfect summer night for lots of laughter, beautiful light, an antique Ford, and killer willow trees (my FAVORITE), and it was SO good.
When I first met with Megan about photographing her & Sean's wedding day, she wasn't sure that they wanted engagement photos. We talked about it for a bit, and she decided to go for it. They decided to have their photos done at the old Harrisburg Hospital, and then we ventured over to Wildwood Park to soak up some sun in the gorgeous June weather. These two were so full of love; it was so much fun shooting with them. I can't wait for their wedding in September!
